Bill B Science Song and Dance

The most recent issue of the National Science Teacher’s Association newspaper included information on some groups with fun science songs. Having just wasted, er, spent some time looking at music videos on YouTube and the artists’ web sites, I thought I’d share.

Billy Brennen, aka BillyBSongAndDance, has four YouTube videos, three are from live performances, one is more like a typical music video. The music is fun and the lyrics teach science. While I’m partial to the two astronomy related songs, Sun Up, Sun Down and Big Bang, the music to Cicada is pretty catchy.

It turns out Billy B did several performances in NYC back in August.  And after finally finding his web site and contact info, he’s a Brooklyn resident!

His web site is http://billybproductions.com where he also has a fifth (very short) video about Fall in Brooklyn. The background is hard to make out with the camera motion, but it looks like it might be Prospect Park.
