Day 1: Safety and Schematics

Most electronics are relatively low voltage, low current devices. Most, but not all. Everything we use in this course will be, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t any risks. In this section, we will cover requirements 1 and 2.

You are going to want some props for this lesson. You’ll want wire cutters, a soldering iron, 9V battery, DC power supply, an anti-static mat, and any test equipment (e.g., oscilloscope or digital multimeter). You don’t have to have all those but having them on hand will make the instruction more concrete.
